What faith are you and can you explain why? It really interests me why different people go to different churches. I also believe it is scriptural. I can not recall the exact scripture right now, but you know the one where the disciples come to Jesus and say there are others who say they speak for you. I believe that is other churches.
I am proudly Christian. I attend a Baptist church, but that is because right now the Baptist church in my community provides me with the right environment for growth. I do not consider myself "baptist"

I attend the Canadian Reformed Church. We believe that God has chosen certain peoples to be saved since the beginning of time. We also believe in the Bible, the Ten Commandments, and that it is God who gives us faith and calls us. We have the The Belgic Confession, The Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort as our statement of doctrine as well as the Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed, the Nicene Creed. We are sort of like the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in the States, only they have the Westminster Confession which is because the people came from Great Britain while most of those of the Canadian Reformed Church came from the Netherlands.

Wow thats an interesting mix, and its what you are comfortable with? I have never heard of Heidleberg Catechism, is that from Luther? I shall go and do some reading on it.
I am not into all the "added extras" I want a church that is a Bible based church without the added extras.

I used to attend a Christian church when I was younger, but then my family moved and we just stopped going. I don't really know what changed my opinions about life, but now Im not even sure what I believe in. I used to pray almost every night, but now I cant even be sure if there is a God.

At least you have the basic understandings of faith, and if there is a time in your life in the future that you need that support you know where to go. Its like riding a bike, you never forget it.
Keep praying, you cannot find the answer of "is God there" unless you actually ask.

I am a CHRISTIAN. I was raised by a minister father and mother in one denomination, and we learned growing up that it was not wrong to attend churches of other denominations as long as they preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified and resurrected for the forgiveness of sin and new life.
I married someone of another denomination, but still in the Christian faith. Right now I attend churches of several denominations, depending on a few things on how Sunday morning goes. I don't consider myself a member of any denomination or church congregation, but I am very much a part of the family of God, and a child of the King.

I have a dear friend, she is the widow of a Pastor. Her daughter is an adult and still "wild" Her mother totally blames it on the fact she was "the Pastors child" but I try and convince her that if she was the plumbers child she would still be strong willed lol

I'm sorry that makes me laugh. Minister's daughters and sons, or PKs as we are affectionately known (preacher's kids), have a reputation for growing up to be the wildest and rather unruly bunch. Being raised in a Christian home can be good, but it can by far have the opposite effect.
