Is Katie Holmes getting used by her friends?

Have you noticed how Victoria Beckham has been hanging around Katie Holmes lately?
Everytime Katie gets her photo snapped by someone in the press, Victoria is right there by her side.
And, I know that Katie says Vic is her best friend, but you know how that goes.
I'm just not sure if maybe Vic isn't using Katie to get publicity for her own career.
It's been awhile since the Spice Girl's disbanded, so maybe Victoria Beckham is thinking that she'll have a chance at another record deal now that she's living in the US.
Meanwhile poor Katie, being a new mom, is desperate for friends. Just recently, she was finally able to break out and start shooting a new movie. She needs all the friends she can get.
Maybe Victoria Beckham is a nice person, so I guess I couldn't blame her for trying to be friends with a popular person. But, I think that something else is up.
What do you think? Is the friendship for real? Or, is poor Katie getting used by her friends?

I've been too busy Mylotting lately to keep up with the latest enertainment news so thanks for cluing me in to one part of it.
The talk/entertainment news programs I've see with Victoria Beckham have been all about her..her kids...her husband...her television show...her clothing line...her hubby's career...her 3 boys...so I am not sure whether she is riding on Katie's coat-tails or not. The Beckham's are managing to create a lot of 'buzzzzzzzzzzzz' everywhere. They probably will for quite some time being that they are the new 'in' couple of the media circuits.
I guess time will tell.

That is one of the saddest romances in Hollywood right now. Posh is trying so hard to fit in,and what's the bet that as soon as she finds someone else to jump onto, she will!
Unfortunately for Katie, she needs to jump ship...but what do i know?

I don't think Victoria is using Katie Holmes. Victoria has got enough celebrity status in her own right without needing to use other so called "stars"
There have been rumors of the Spice Girls rejoining together for "one last reunion tour" which have been confirmed by a couple of the girls.
Victoria was also supposed to have been having her own reality show, which HAS been scrapped, because she felt that watching her husband play Soccer for England was more important.
So, to me, she does have a conscience LOL. It makes a refreshing change from seeing Tom and Katie plastered all over the papers and talk shows.

I think you might be right, but the truth is neither one, not Katie or Victoria, would be snapped at all by any photographer if it wasn't for either one of their husbands. Maybe the question is did they really marry for love or for other reasons and if it was for other reasons, then as friends go, they deserve each other.

yeah.. that's just weird. Maybe the ex-spice girl is trying to gain a little publicity ever since moving to the US. I also think that Katie is a little bit of a pushover as well.. But, who am I to judge? I hope for their sakes, that their friendship is for real. They look like they could really use some friendship.

i think u may b rite... she may b is used by her frnds coz she can influence lot of ppl thru tom.. vic may b tryin to get her career going thru katie.. who knws!!

I haven't noticed that Victoria Beckham is hanging out with Katie Holmes. I am not really a fan of Hollywood stars. They have nothing to do with their lives except be in the spotlight.
If ever that Katie really told the press that Victoria is her bestfriend then let's respect that. I don't think Katie is that dumb to let other person used her. Let's just respect their friendship and hope for the best on their newly found friendship.

I don't think that Posh is using Katie... It's not like she is going out of her way to be seen with Katie, if you have a close friend and all the money in the world odds are you guys will spend tons of time together because you can both afford to go wherever and do whatever. Plus Victoria just came out with a clothing line and has a tv show coming up soon so I think she's capable of pulling her own weight.

I think that the friendship is real. I could see why you would think that maybe she was using Katie but I don't think that's the case. Victoria has been getting a lot of press lately that has nothing to do with Katie. You always see celebrities on the A list hanging out with celebrities not so famous. If we're going to go into using people, then couldn't we make an argument that Katie used Tom for that same reason? I don't think that's true either but I guess anything is possible.
