Transformers, New or old?

I love Transformers and have watched the cartoon movie about a million times! its pretty much my favorite movie. How does everyone feel the new movie will compare to the old one?

"Friends find, look behind." Sorry, anytime anyone mentions the animated Transformers movie that pops into my head. I love the animated movie. Part of me wants to see the new movie, but there's a part of me that really doesn't want to put myself thru that disappointment. It may be cool, but I don't know if I'll enjoy it.

It's also directed by Micheal Bay who I don't think is a very good director, but thats because he puts too many crazy action scenes in his films so that could be good for Transformers

Transformer is best and i rate 9.I watched it thrice!I am fan of optimus prime who defends for the good and against bad!

I refer to the animated movie as the REAL movie. I wrote my own discussion on mylot, saying that overall, I'm not happy with this one. Hell, I think (if they're so worried about cost), they should have just literally remade the REAL transformers movie. It was less than 90 mins, non-stop intense action! This just can't compare! "One shall stand, one shall fall!" The REAL movie stands the time of the ages! For a hardcore fan, who wants his transformers movie to be about the transformers, and not for them to be secondary characters to the humans, the new one falls.
