Ultima vs Warcraft

Everywhere online and on T.V. everyone talks about world of warcraft but Ultima was around for years before,and in my opinion is much better. It's on a massive scale but is still hugely indepth, the fact that you can create a character to be a swordsman then change him into a fisherman whenever you feel like it gives you a great feeling of control. So what's everyone else's opinion? Ultima or warcraft?

On first inspection WoW looks good, however I don't think it has the gameplay and variety to replace UO, or the feeling of community that UO promotes, mainly due to the massive variety of character types available all inter-dependent on each other to make the most of the game's experience. Ten years now and UO is still surviving, somehow I don't think WoW has the pull to equal that, despite the fact that on paper it looks far superior. Personally I am staying with UO until I tire of online gaming altogether!
