What's the strangest thing you almost named your baby?

Hold onto your seats, here it is! Try this name on for size. Independence! Yes, I actually thought about naming my kiddo Independence. No joke. Turns out I didn't need to name her Independence, because she just is that way without help from a name. We went through hundreds of names, and tons of name spelling variations. I passed on Marigold and Maribelle, but it was a close call. And, I almost called her Hannah. Imagine that. Her first name came to me out of the blue while I was talking to my husband on the phone. He asked me, "What do you want to call her?" And, I just blurted out the most feminine name I could remember. And, he said he'd been thinking of it too. So that settled the issue. It took longer to come up with her middle name. It sort of popped in my mind a few months before she was born, while I was watching TV. And, I knew the second it happened that my baby name search was over. So, what names did you almost call your baby? Which names almost made the cut?
