Yes, I am a proud true blue Pinay married to a Canadian. We've been together 6 years, there's been some trying times (adjusting to a foreign land and cultural differences) but we're just as happy as the day we were married.

Hi rosemichael, you and your fiancee has a very significant age difference and the immigration officers may look at your application with a suspicious eye but not to worry, I was the same way, my husband and I also have a very significant age difference yet I got my visa in 3 months with no interview. I just got letters acknowledging my application, then a request to get my medical examination done, then another letter asking me to come over and get my visa on my passport. The key is honesty, organization and documentation. Document everything. First and foremost, do not lie or make it appear like you're lying because they will get confused. Present your facts in the most matter-of-fact way that way they are not left guessing. Second, organization. Make sure that all your documents are in an organized and orderly fashion that they don't need to look for missing bits and pieces. Before you apply for your visa, make sure that you have all the documents they need and they are dully notarized/certified by the concerned Philippine government agency. Third, document everything. Make sure you have a solid strong proof that your relationship is genuine and present it to them in the most organized fashion. If you chat regularly, print your conversations, even if you have to cut and paste it in a word document. If you exchange e-mails often, print them and keep them in chronological order. If you communicate with any of his relatives or friends, keep those correspondence and include them as well. If he calls you, ask him to keep copies of his telephone bills. If he gives you financial support or any type of support, keep copies of the remittance documents. If he sends you gifts, keep receipts as well. Each time he comes and visits you, ask him to take a copy of his plane tickets and keep copies of his itinerary and boarding pass. Take pictures of you together or when you go out with family and friends during his visits. All these things are evidence of your relationship so keep them. Make sure he knows about your family and friends and that they interact together, take pictures when you can. Again it's honesty, organization and documentation. I hope this helps.

Im currently in a relationship with a filipino guy but grew up in geneva switzerland. He adapt the culture and way of living so i guess i can still consider him a foreigner right? =) He says he went back here in philippines because he still prefers filipinas as a partner. He likes the conservative and tamed ladies...

Hi, same here. I am married to an American guy. I am working now and starting a life with my hubby. Problem is, he doesn't want me to send money to my folks back home even if my intention is to help my brother who is undergoing a chemo.and was even told unacceptable words..I had a good job back home and was planning to go abroad to work but turned down all that just to come here and be with him. I felt it is so unfair.
