What do you do after a hard day's work?

It's almost hometime for me. Today was a busy day as always, and it is great to know I'll be home soon.
I usually collect my daughter at daycare first. Then when we get home, it's time for showers, homework, feeding the cats and starting supper. Some nights I have to do the laundry aswell.
But as soon as everyone is of to bed, I like to sit and relax, maybe read a bit. Sometimes even watch a good movie.
What do you do to relax and get your mind off work?

Sadly I am not currently working, not for the want of trying but when I was working full time I used to like to come home and especially if it was a really tiring stressful day have a nice long hot shower and get into my dressing gown and then crash out on the sofa and watch some tv, usually comedy to make me laugh and forget about the stresses of the day.

Me too! You get into a routine don't you, like a military exercise, it keeps your mind of feeling sorry for yourself (me in particular) and you haven't got time to sit around and ponder. That's been my trouble if I could go out to work and do something I really enjoy then that would be more fulfilling and would definitely keep these black moods at bay x

every day is a new day but we have to do a lot of hard work daily. And after that we need to be relaxed and then ready for the next daz work. I used to be relaxed by having a bath with cool water and then have a cup of tea.

Hi Fulton!(",)
Now that I have a hectic schedule in my teaching career, I usually take a rest after work. Sometimes, I sleep to gain energy for the next day's series of lecture. There are also times that my way of relaxation is playing Luxor games in my computer and surfing the net. Being here in mylot is also a soothing way of relaxation for me because I can express my thoughts and share my ways.(",)
I miss watching movies already. Before I used to have a marathon of great movies and even horror movies.
As for now, my daily routine after a hard day's work is eating my dinner, watching tv and then study for my next lecture.(",)

My job is a 24 hour a day job. So when I get off of work it's when I am out of the house. But I do try to get away one weekend every month or two to relax and relieve stress. I am my fathers caregiver which is VERY hard and sttressful work. Anyhow to unwind/rrelax I like to take a day or two and go to the local casino. I get great comps so I always have a free room there. I will try and get my wife to come having my son or daughter around to check on dad etc. But my wife doesn't like going to the casinos like I do. When I'm there it's just so relaxing and entertaining for me eithet winning or losing. It's just for me to unwind, relax, and lose some stress. Some days I just take a long walk with my dog Buster when dads napping. This is Buster in the photo laying on the couch relaxing like I should be doing. Hahaha!!
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi grandpa Bob. Buster looks like a sweety! Unfortunately I only have cats, can you imagine the neighbourhood's dogs if I have to walk down the street with 3 cats on leashes!lol
I take my hat off for you for the dedication you show towards your dad. Enjoy your next trip to the casino...
