Why do girls take sooooo loooonnngggggg to get ready for a day or night out?

I would say most girls, woman take long time to get ready because they want to look good and make a good impression on you. Society has taught woman to look good. I have seen it many times, if you are attractive and thin you get further in life. I have been to many concerts and the security guards let the cute girls up to the front and give them extra things. When I step just to the right of my chair I am told I have to move over and back into my seat. This makes me so mad. I mean I take time to get ready and all but I am not thin and cute so I get treated differently. Anyways back to your question. The reason it takes me 1 hour to get ready is I want to look good and make a good impression on people. I don't want to look like a slob. But 3 hours is a little long. It takes me 1 hour to get ready and my husband 15 minutes. But they don't have to blow dry their hair curl it, put make up etc. Men just shower shave and they are done. Too easy.

haha... i like that 'was she sewing her skin on'. yep i don't get your girlfriend too. she's the only one who knows, why don't you ask. i'm a girl, i would not do that - much, i maybe late 30 minutes at most, i think. and i have reasons. (we always do) but your girl like extreme makeovers - needs a little watchin over, and telling off, spoiled, bratty behaviors like that must not be tolerated because if somebody does that to me, i'd think that he or she is not very respectful of my time and effort, or that i'm not worth of even a little consideration. being punctual is good manners. being late is therefore the opposite, she should be reminded of it. right? if talk is easy. er, i was once late for 4 hours (only this once)( and i have my - maybe there wa a reason for it too)anayway, they say better late than never so against hope, i went to the dating place (there was no cellphone then), and imagine of all imaginings, my date was there waiting for me. i guess it was true love to have patience like that ha. i promised never to do it again, because i was kinda harshly warned too. anyway, we broke up. later. from a different reason. but that's beside the point. good luck on your girl!!

hahah lol. You know the reason. You know that girls takes 3 hours to put their make up on. On top of what takes about 1 hour to take a bath lol. Girls are more fussy as compared to the guys. They want to be always look pretty and presentable to people all the time.

It doesnt take me long to get ready, it takes me about half an hour to do my hair. And about 10-15 minutes to shower.

well..i am a woman, and yes sometimes we do take our times when we want to go out. Hey, man don't you agree that you have pride also if your woman look beautiful walking by your side? LOL And just little clue...those make up thingy...like doing an art...and all that pretty woman dress can be complicated to put on! not mention those pretty stuff we put on our nails...hahahaha...so just be patience, cause basically we do that to please your sight.

Hahhaha....that is hilarious! My former girlfriend used to spend over an hour on her hair!! Got in a couple of PS2 games whilst waiting for her. It's all about adapting! :D

im a female and i take bout 5-10 minutes cause i dont ware make up and dont do my nails that often i just throw somethng on and out the door i go. of course im also a mom so i dont have time to dress up

Yes, well, you guys don't need to put on make up, don't look in the mirror 85473753980537 times to see if the blouse really fits PERFECT or matches with everything else, you don't choose from 74382974832 outfits which one to wear... All these take time :)

I guess we are just like that. We want to be more beautiful for our partner so they will be proud of us. I don't really know why your girlfriend took so long just like that and ending up with just simple dress. I think she find it too hard to choose or decide what to wear for your date and maybe she ended up with nothing because she was so confused what to wear or maybe she's thinking that you would not like her outfit. Well, i'm not like her because i can dress up and be ready in just an hour, especially if i know someone is waiting for me. I also take so long to pick what to dress and sometimes i ask for the help of others so i can decide what to wear.

hahaha! just accept the way we are., but remind your girl to be considerate or atleast adjust. An hour, i guest is enough to dress up.

They are that way because society has taught them to be that way. That they have to be 'perfect' to go out, and that you as the male, need to be put in your place and made to wait. Yet another method our current societies have used to divide genders via behavioral training. Note: My fiance' gets ready sometimes quicker than I do. She rocks, mostly 'cause she bucks the societal programming! (She rocks in other ways too. = ) )

Girls tend to be more secure with their body than me, thats the simplest explanation. Boys are naturally untidy and lazy to do things like girls did. Here in our school, engineering students( mostly boys) are tagged as UNTIDY that's why nursing students (mostly girls) which are very concern with their outfit and uniforms, sometimes tease them. It calls my attention when they booed each other during college events.

Its very hard to understand these girls. The time they take for their make-up, hair and many more things... I think thats why they look so beautiful...

well im not the usual girl lol, i take about 15 - 20minutes to get ready. and that is usually just for work. if im going shopping then i just chuck my jeans and a top on and do my hair and then go. im not into make up or anything like that. oh but i dont forget my handbag and mobile phone

Some girls are very self consious about their looks and they way they dress.It becomes a bit of competition.I can only speak from experience.I know how cruel people can be about the way someone else looks.

hehe,i think the most girl all will spend much time to dress up,but they can not cost about 3hours.As i know,the generic will cost they about 30minutes to dress up when they have a date.I think your girlfriend very like dress up,and she will dress up herself everyday,it is the true case? I think you will have a talk with your girlfriend,i think i cannot waiting for her about 3hours,the all day only have 24hours,and we have so many things to do.I think it was unworthy to spend so much time in dress up.so what do you think of?
