Photo Resizing help?

Thanks to a very good friend of mine on here I have my old avatar photo back. It's attatched iof anyones forgotten what it looks like. Hahahaha. I have just my Canon photo workshop editing software and tried to resize this etc with fuzzy results. I am asking that anyone that feels they could resize this with good reults please let me know. I can email the photo to you. All help and what not would be greatly appreciated. Id like it to be about 480 X 640 or so. It's a perfect size now for use as an avatar but I'd like it for more than just that. Thanks in advance all. And especially thanks to my friend wizzie. Thank you buddy. You amaze me at times.

Unless there is some new software out there that I have not heard about it, you can't go from small to large, you can only do it the other way around, sorry I couldn't help!

i resized your photo but it seems a little fuzzy due to it being enlarged

Dang it anyways. I wish we could see the attached photos in our emails. Anyways, I have several photo editing softwares on my puter, Grandpa Bob. I could give it a shot if you want.

BTW, I knew which pic you were talking about. Was just saying that in general cause I always have to go to your page to see the pics b4 responding to the discussion it's attached to.

I tried with 4 different programs. The only one that came out half way decent is too large to upload here. It's over 500kb in size. I don't think it can be done. Sorry! :-(

Try this...under the size in pixels there should be a resolution box. Make the resolution as low as you can and there should also be a per unit. Experiment with those also when trying to resize it to get rid of the fuzziness. Another thing you could try is adjusting the sharpness and contrast. I hope this is of some help. Good luck!

I bet you if you sweet talked our dear friend elp388, she might be able to do it for you successfully. I'm not sure what software she has, but she's done some of my avatars for me. If you don't have her on your friend's list and you want to get in touch with her, let me know and I will ask her for you. She's awesome.

Also if you'd like i could direct you to a freeware program that automaticly resizes images to what you'd like (multi, or singe batch)

Hi GRANDPA BOB I took it and tried to fix it for you but I could not do it , it was too small . I was going to send it to you but I am sure someone else did it as good as I could. I have excellent print programs but I could not make it clear enough. Sorry.

have you tried printing it out and taking a photo of it? you do take nice photographs. i have done that with a few documents i wanted saved. i just filled the lens with the image i wanted and set the output on my camera for the size i wanted and it came out decent. you would probably do much better than i. just a thought i had.
