more and more fathers are reducingovertime and turning down promotions to look after their children according to a survey. i think a lot of dads are reluctant to reduce work time for family obviously because of bills but sometimes because they don't wnat to be around their kids, i love to spend time with my kids so i don't see it as a hassle. myself and my partner also accept that our needs are secondary which is a problem for some young parents. i used to work with young people. after spending hours working evenings and weekends when we had our first child, i decided to change this for our second i decided to work term time at a college wich means a huge wage cut, we receieve more benefits which is a big help, and i can now do a really good job of being a dad, that's something labour has go right! my partner really appreciates the change in circumstandces and now hen i come home i am home, i am not working at home. i think parents should be given more help, iam sure the steps i have taken will help my children become better people and therefore beter members of society

I'm a little bit young and also unexperienced... BUT I think it should be normal for fathers to look after their kids... I mean what? a man can't change a diaper?:P reluctant guys should reconsider... I guess...
