Then I should live forever! We are currently sitting at 26 cats, but one has a new home to go to in early July. One is too young to look for a new home.
But that still leaves 19 as our permanate cat population. They are all fixed, the only kitten "born" into the household was when I picked up a pregnant momma cat & she had to have a c-section the next day.

I have two cats, both female. They are both spayed. You may want to have the male cats neutered too since they could get out (you didn't mention whether or not they go outside). If they do get out by accident it doesn't take them long to contribute to the huge pet overpopulation problem.
I love my cats too. They get along well and are both generally mellow, but they do have their own little personality quirks.

I have 2, Ziggy and Poe. Both males. One's been neutered the other is "altered" which basically means he's had a vasectomy. They're strictly indoors, and going on 15 & 13 years of age, respectively.

Well I only have the one cat, I do love her very much, but I would not want anymore cats. I have never heard this saying that the more cats you have the longer you will live..I guess I will not live too long!!

That being the case, you may want to consider vasectomies for them as opposed to castration. It can be done, and may be less offensive to your husband :-). I am not sure about cost though.
