I was 16 and I worked in this store chain that went defunct about a year later. It was called "The Cosmetic Center" and basically I remodeled 6 stores over the course of the summer. It was fun because me and the other two girls were our own bosses.

I think it helped me to develop a good sense of worth ethic. It taught me that you can goof off and have fun so long as you get your job done to the best of your ability at the same time.

Pizza parlors are fun to work at, it smells great all the time, people like what they do, or I did, I worked a Dominos for about four years after my son was born, delivering pizza, I enjoyed that a lot.

Seventh grade. I was paid for each housekeeping chore I completed from a list my step mother made. She didn't like giving me a $5 weekly allowance when my dad was away, so I had to earn any spending money I needed. I was making almost $10 a week for doing her chores.

Lets see I was either 15 or 16 and I worked at mcdonalds and I hated it because the pay sucked the minumum salary was like $5.25 an hour the bosses were jerks one of them yelled at me the first day for going to slow making the burgers when they never taught me how to make them and they always put me on the weekends when I said I couldnt work on the weekends god I hated that job.

The first job I ever had sabrinam was picking tomatoes for a little old Italian man, he would pay me per row. I actually loved it of course it was just pocket changes but as a 10 year old it use to get me by. I think I did it for at least a year and then would go back in the school holidays for the big meal they would put on for all there works once a year.

I had a paper route when I was 10. It wasn't bad. This was back when you had to go to the door of everyone on your route and collect the payment. Basically, at the end of the week the route "director" would give me an invoice saying how much I had to collect to pay for that weeks papers (it was about 50% of what the papers actually cost), and everything I collected over that amount was mine to keep - that's how I got paid.

Wow, that sounds like a lot to handle at 10. My son is turning 10 in three weeks I can't imagine sending him on a paper route. Ah, but these are different times....man I feel old. When I was a kid it was safe, and I'm only 28!

My first job was an internet-based job. It was based in Belgium. And my job was so simple but the pay was really good. My job involved me making questionnaires of 160 characters for mobile phones regarding some trivia about my country's music and sports. It was fun and I'd love to have that again. I was around 4th year college then. And my professor had a friend who worked for the company and asked her if she could recommend someone, and she recommended me because she saw I was really computer savvy. So there it goes. It was the best job ever! Too bad it was only a by-project type. =) For youngsters. You should try anything. It's good to understand how money works and how difficult it is to find money so as to appreciate the things that parents give us at an earlier age. =)

11. Computers. a unit of work for a computer, generally comprising an application program or group of related programs and the data, linkages, and instructions to the operating system needed for running the programs.
I started my first job every at 20years old. It was an online job for a few weeks, but the pay was really good. Never found another job like that again. *Sigh* Anyways, here's a joke for the people out there who have yet to have their first job or a series of job interviews, enjoy: Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Person asked a young engineer who was fresh out of MIT, "What starting salary were you thinking about?" The Engineer said, "In the neighborhood of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package." The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of 5 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years - say, a red Corvette?" The Engineer sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?" The interviewer replied, "Yeah, but you started it." =)
