Is an online romance still considered cheating?

From a female perspective yes I do believe that it is emotional infidelity. I mean you really can not be giving every thing you vowed to give to your wife if another female has your affections, your mind, your fantasies. You are sharing parts of yourself that belongs to your wife. Not to mention you are not being at all honest if you are in this type of relationship.

I am married, and I am online for 8 hours because of my work. When I get bored I chat, maybe i am just so lucky. I found good friends from US though chat. For siz months were sending letters, pictures and we're just like a family. Our kids were good friends now. I chatted with males too, but you will always know how far the chatting is. Honestly they are purely my friends. It doesn't really matter, but if you chat with them, and you feel something different then maybe you're cheating your wife. I meet a guy from CAlifornia, I know his wife and he knows my kids and husband...that's how I chat.

Well if you have a girlfriend then I say yes it is cheating. I have met my girlfriend of 4 years on the net but I at least made sure I wasnt with someone else before I started to talk to her. Just man up and tell the other person your not interested in them anymore and move on then you can talk all you want to the other person without feeling guilty.

Yes, specially if the motive is toward meeting her, coz as some people would say, leave a man and a woman in the room and let satan do the rest.That is how things will happen. of course when you start doing eyeball lots of things will interfere on that affair and it will be beyond your control anymore.
