When did you first know you were really pregnant?

I knew almost from the moment that I got pregnant, that it was the real thing. Or, at least I hoped it was true. It's so funny how these things work out, because I had just bought two ovulation testers, and never got to use them. Ironic! I was so sure in my heart that I was pregnant. But, my health insurance provider made me wait almost two months to get the confirmation from an actual doctor. I already had the test results from the pregnancy tester stick, so I knew that I was probably pregnant. But, I know those things are not 100% reliable. I took it twice, and it came back postitive in less than twenty seconds. And, I know those things are supposed to take five minutes or so. So, I was VERY pregnant! Maybe! I didn't want to be heart broken, wishing and waiting for a baby that might not really be in my tummy. I didn't have any of the normal pregnancy symptoms like queeziness, so it was like not being pregnant at all. Sometimes it worried me, that maybe there wasn't a baby, just some stupid pregnancy tester giving me false results. After years of waiting and so many heartbreaks, I didn't want to get attached to a baby that didn't really exist. I wanted it to be true, but what if it wasn't? So, I shared the news with my husband, and noone else, just in case. I crossed my fingers, and, I took all my vitamins, got tons of sleep, worked out and hoped for the best. Not sure why they made me wait so long to get the pregnancy confirmation, but it turned out there was a baby! Like my heart hadn't already confirmed the truth for me! That's how I first knew that our tiny family was going to change in such a wonderful and lasting way. So when did you know you were really pregnant? When you bought the pregnancy tester, or started feeling queezy? Or, did you just know in your heart that it had happened?

Wow! That's amazing. You were very active during your first trimester. I could barely move during that time. I was bedridden the entire first three months. I slept all the time. I was so tired. I would sleep for eight hours, wake up, greet my husband on the way out to his job. Then I'd eat something, go back to bed. Get up when he came in from his job, eating something and go right back to bed. I was a living mess! But, luckily no nausea. My baby was jealous over her food. She still is!

The period comes late doesn't mean anything. As long as you go to have the pregnant test and you will know whether you are really pregant or not. It's very fast and convenient and you don't feel painful at all.

ok, not trying to be mean, but did you read her discussion? she isn't asking if she is pregnant, she is describing her experiance in finding out she was pregnant and she is asking others to share their experiance.

My husband and I were trying for a while and in the past I have taken pregnancy tests and they were negative, so this time I flat out refused. I kept telling him next week and I did that for about 3 weeks. He knew that I was pregnant this time and by the 3rd week of not taking the test he was getting mad. I went to the dollar store (I figure why spend 10.00 on something that will work just the same for 1.00), bought a test and it was positive. He gave me an I told you do look. It is something we do laugh about now.

With our first daughter I was about 3 months in before I found out for sure that I was pregnant. Just before Christmas I had taken a test because my period was screwy at the beginning of dec. The second line was so faint that I dismissed it and figured it was negative. So I went almost 2 more months before finally after missing another period and feeling a bit sick that I decided to take another. It came up the same way, so I bought a different brand. That one came up positive! With my second one I half jokingly took a test, not really thinking that it would come up positive, but it did :) With the one I am carrying now I knew pretty fast. I started feeling sick right away. I took one test and it came up negative because I was only about 2 weeks along. Two weeks later I took another test and it came up positive :)

I only have one son as of now, when i get pregnant for him it was actually our plan to have a baby, so for the past few months me and my husband visiting our family doctors and get a brief idea on how to get pregnant and suddenly after 3months i got pregnant, at first i thought I am just delayed and i havent tried to know it from a pregnancy test kit, a week after my husband decided to bring me to our doctor to have a pregnancy test, and so we found out that i am. So its not only me who first noticed about my pregnancy its our doctor.

It's funny, but my husband knew I was pregnant before I did! He said I had the 'Hi Pro' glow. I could never see the glow of pregnancy, but I guess some people can.
