What makes this show so good?

Colbert has a great mix of the news and comedy that keeps you watching. He is just a funny guy, but he is very educated and very knowledgeable about most everything. I like that about him, and that he can add comedy to the mix and make these normally boring items of news much more entertaining. that is why I watch the show!

I got very drawn in the first time I saw "The word" segment of the show. You have facts or topics being presented, with a commentary on the side of what we're all really thinking but trying to deny. Its that kind of ironic humor that makes this show fantastic. What is even better is when some ill-informed person thinks he's serious - like whoever decided to invite him to roast the president. I hope this keeps going for a long time.
