Personally, I really like Bugis Junction. I used to live there when I was young. The area around Bugis Junction encompasses a lot of good food and shopping. When I went back for a visit in April 2007, almost everyday, I went to Bugis Junction even though I live in the north of Singapore. Some of my favourite food in that area: 1. Hock Lam Street Beef Noodles located in Purvis Street 2. Yet Con steamboat located in Purvis Street There is a lot of good food and desert stalls located on the street opposite Mos Burger. There is a stationary store "AnBC" located in Bugis Junction itself. They sell really cool and cute stationaries. I always love to visit the store on weekends.

Just like you I have a plan of visiting Singapore one day. Ive heard so many good stories about the country since its the worlds most clean city. Not to mention the good shops and scenery. I only saw pics from my brother when he visited the place and just looking at how nice it is, I am thrilled to see it in my two eyes as well.

hi my friend... singapore is one of the best places i have visited and i am sure you will enjoy your stay there... where will you stay? when are you leaving? don't forget my pasalubong ha... lol almost everything in singapore is quite expensive especially for filipinos like us. but if you are patient enough to look for the places where you could get the best buys, i think you'll survive your stay there... clothes and souvenirs: you will be amazed by the number of specialty stores as well as department stores and malls you will see there. if i am not mistaken, they have started with their great singapore sale which will end sometime in july. so you could take advantage of this. mustafa centre in little india is the only department store there open 24/7. you could also visit singapore's chinatown, geylang seray, little india, and bugis for some great buys. if you are financially ready for a splurge, you can check out the shops along orchard, riverside, shenton way, north bridge road, the shops in the suburbs, etc. where to eat: food is everywhere my dear... enjoy! where to hangout: it depends on what activities you would like to do... you could go night shopping, you could see the night safari (worth your money!), go to mount faber, go to sentosa (which i highly recommend, if you could, stay in sentosa for at least 2 days) or you could go to their nightspots (i suggest that you see bar none, zouk and aquadisiac). there's so much that i would like to share to you but i think it would be best if you see singapore for yourself then share your experience when you come back. enjoy my friend!
