the jeep is the most common mode of transport here in davao city besides from tricycles and 'habal-habal', a motorcycle ride. riding a jeepney is the most practical, most convenient, the safest and cheapest way of going to your destinations. 'though i still take the taxi when returning home from buying groceries or when we are more than 2 passengers.

Jeepney has become part of my daily mode of transportation going home. Although there are times when I ride FX in going direct to my Office since no Jeepney pass by it.
Taxi I ride when I do have extra money to spend and needs to go to places that are not passed by Jeepney routes. But if I could I would choose jeepney because its much more cheaper mode of transpo.

When i was still living in Marikina, i always ride the jeepney, FX are way too expensive for me that time, i only pay 8 pesos in jeepney and 20 pesos for FX. When we move to sampaloc, Balic balic to be exact, i always ride the FX because i only pay 10 pesos, jeepney fare is 7 pesos.
There's one time, i'm going to my friend with my GF, (which is my wife now) The jeepney got held up, The hold upper is holding a long knife while searching my front pocket for my cellphone, (I hide my cellphone on my back pocket), the other hold upper said, "TIRAHIN MO NA" ("Hit him"), so i grab my GF's bag and put it in front of my body to protect myself from any attack. I asked for help while defending from my attacker. Good thing they decided to jump from the jeepney coz the jeepney is starting to move again. I was so afraid that time that i never ride jeepney again in manila.

Whew.. that was a very frightening experience. Good thing that nothing happened to your or your wife.
Yeah, that's one disadvantages of public transportation. We really can't ensure our safety.
That's why most of the time when I think that i'll be riding a jeep when going somewhere, I try not to bring too many valuables. Just to be safe.. =D

Oh yes I do. I don't have a car and I don't think should own one, I feel like I am not fit to drive, LOL! It's this temper of mine. But, going back to the topic, yes I ride the jeepney every day.
We have fx plying the route of mandaluyong to makati and I take this in the morning since I prefer to reach the office at least still feeling fresh. However, when going home from work, it would take me two rides, that is via a tricycle and then a jeepney. When I was new to my rented place, I would often take a taxi home since I figured that my place is just nearby, it would not cost me that much. I did not like tricycle rides back then, I always avoided riding one because I was not used to it. I come from Baguio City and there are no tricycles there. But, feeling the pinch of being casually broke, I swallowed my tricycle aprehensions and got used to going home in this mode.

I ride the jeepney because it is more practical than fx, buses and taxis. I just prefer riding those air-conditioned transport vehicles when I want to stay fresh and smell good. Jeepneys are only good when the other transport vehicles don't reach the routes that jeepneys do. Taxis can reach any route but they charge more. They even don't give you the exact change except in taxis in Baguio City.

Yeah I ride the jeep monday-friday to be exact in going to my office. I need to take a jeep since from our house there's no fx and bus that will take me to work. But if given a chance among your choice ofcourse I will choose taxi, actually I really hate riding public vehicle. It irrates me when the jeep is having the music to full blast all the time that is too much for the ear to bear, body odors and those woman passenger who doesn't care about their hair or don't know how to tie their hair and their hair is hitting my face and sometimes taste them Ü

I am very thrift so I opt to ride the jeepney(FYI: the philippine government uses the term jitney instead of jeepney ^-^). I know that jeepneys is the slowest transportation to get to your destination but I always make it a point to be early as possible to be able to save some money.
From where I live, taxis charge an extra Php20 from their meter charge because we live in a subdivision. That's very terrible so I don't ride taxis as they are very expensive for my taste.
When I was still working I ride the FX(or shuttle as some may say) because it saves me more time, money and energy than riding the jeepney and the MRT.

i could say yes i still wanted and like to ride in a jeepney because this is the most public vehicle that you can see and found anywhere and everywhere, and aside from that the fare is not that expensive too and even until i still riding on it even LRT or MRT is there.
