It was shown in HBO while back. This movie was based on a real story. Touching really.

... the last person to ever be carried off the field at Notre Dame... yes a very touching and moving story about someone who refused to give up no matter what anyone said to him.

Rudy did actually have a cameo in the movie. Rudy was a fan in the stands during the last game where he made his famous tackle. He was sitting right behind Ned Beatty (Rudy's dad in the movie) and Ned actually tugs on Rudy's shirt when everyone was cheering. Rudy was wearing a coat and hat. *rudyinternational.com

How tiny was Rudy? Rudy was 5'6" and weighed 165 lbs. That is about the average height/weight of an 8th grader!!!

I live in South Bend where its pretty much mandatory to see this movie. If you live within 10 miles of campus, you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of Tide.
