TomKat - I know its old news - but are they the real deal? I just cant decide

I knows its old news now, but I cant help feeling thats its all a set-up everytime I seem them on TV or in a newspaper. I have just recently had a baby myself - and couldnt fathom doing that with some random person - so that makes me think its the real deal. But on the other hand its just seems so cheesy and fake.
