Help Shela regain her zest for life!

Shela is a small terrior, the subject of a grossly inhuman abuse case. She was found locked up in an abandoned house, with no food and water. She was found looking like a living skeleton with her ravaged skin clinging to her skeletal frame. There was almost no hair left and she had large areas of blackish and harden skin. All signs of advanced skin infections which were not cared for.
At the vet, she had a blood test done and her skin and open sores treated. She weighed a paltry 5.8 kg as compared to a healthy 8-9 kg for a dog her size. All these time, there was no wag in her tail, nor life in her eyes. She is contented just to curl up on a towel and sleep the day away....:(
I need advise on how to raise funds to help Shela get back onto her feet. She needs long term medication and supplements to keep her skin problems in control.. and a specialised diet to bring her weight up to normal. In the mean time, she is treated with the miracle cure called love. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My girfried and I just drove from
SC to Fl. to get a silky terrier that had been used for breeding. She was afraid of everything and also had horrible skin problems. She was taken to the Vet. and given a good bath with a soothing shampoo. My friend flew with "Buttons" to Dallas where the dog was given to her Mother. Linda's mother had recently lost her dog and at first she was not sure she wanted another dog so soon. But time has gone by and they are bonding like you would not believe. The dog barked for the first time last week "she was left alone in the living room". She is getting alot of love and attention and that is what she needs. If you can't give the dog the attention and medicine ask your Vet if there is someone that wants to take a wonderful little needy dog and help turn it's life around. It is a lot of work and it would be wonderful to find a older person that can give the miracle cure "love". You may be able to do this and that would be great but there are so many abandoned dogs I would think it would be hard to raise funds for one. Check with your animal shelter maybe they can help or offer advise.
