What if you have all the TIME and MONEY in the world?

Singapore

To some, the answer to this question is OBVIOUS. To others, you might have no clues at all. So let's hold time still for a few moments and contemplate this "Master, what is your wish?" question. If you have all the time and money in the world, what do you want to do? Make yourself a super star? Cut your own album? Design and build your own golf course? Shop at Paris everyday? Tour the world? Try all the delicacies in every city and tribe? Buy a forest and make your own nature reserve? Train a troop of tigers as your pets? Find a cure for AIDS? Try to discover the secret to immortality? Well, I have listed but a few of some endless possibilities. What if you have all the time and money in the world? What would you like to do? Do share your thoughts. ;-)

I would spend my time and money working for charities that tug at my heart strings. I would volunteer for women's shelters, aid's housing and healthcare, organ donation education, childhaven, advocate for the elderly, increase the education and awareness of liver diseases, try to find ways to improve education donate money and time to students that wouldn't normally get a higher education due to financial difficulties. I would donate and volunteer at children's hospitals. I would perform random acts of kindness and try to help those struggling to feed their families and keep a roof overhead...these and many other charitable possibilities could keep me busy for the rest of my life!!! But there would be some personal expenditures also...I would pay off my house and my children's mortgages and make sure my grandchildren were all funded for the best college educations they could want!!! And if there were money left over I would be frivolous and hire a housekeeper..so I could spend that time doing other more interesting and helpful things!!!

You make some good suggestions wizzy but they are not for me I am afraid! I think I would spend it trying to make sure that all the neglected, abused children in the world are given the chance of a happy, safe and loving home with people who love them unconditionally and would help and support them to have a life that will fulfill them in all the ways we would all wish for! Know that sounds kind of mushy and probably impossible but if I had the money and time I would do my best to accomplish it! xxx

I have often contemplated this question. I guess that first I will spend some time just playing around and travelling to all those places that I have always wanted to visit, as well as lazing about since I would not have to work. When I get bored of that (should not take too long), I would start investing my money into companies, organisations and individuals that I believe will help bring around my vision of a perfect world, which would include nanotechnology, AI , immortality and intelligence improvement research.

Travel in the US, build my dream home, create some kind of agency to help others, spend time doing a number of things that might interest me. Of course, with lots of money, I would probably have the women chasing me. It would be fun to stay one step ahead of them...lol.

With all my rent and bills paid, I would study the arts. Drawing, sculpting, and writing to begin with. Oh, and a better quality violin, of course. Pity I can't buy playing experience so I could play at least a little better :D

Oh course you can buy playing experience. Just make the arrangements to gain real experience for yourself. :P

wow wizzy you're on a roll eh? this is a great thought. Excuse me as I fantasize for a day... well, although it sounds ms universe-y and too noble by far, the first thing I'd do is eliminate poverty. The world has so much resource, and the problem just comes with bad allocation and greed. Best part is that, after doing that, I'd still have left overs! After that, when there is no hunger and everyone has enough to clothe and send their kids to school, I'd travel around the world for 10 days once every 2 months, or maybe 3 if I need to recover from the holiday and get my bearings and enjoy my home. Then I'd build really nice homes for myself and my extended families. Spacious, with funky design furniture, but not too ornate or showy. Simple clean lines and best quality. The possiblities are endless. But I guess even with all the time and all the money in the world, I can't do certain things that I'd love to do. Like make someone with terminal cancer well again. Sigh.

Yea, rock and roll lol! :P Eliminate poverty is cool. Real cool. It is something I want to do too but... is it even "doable"? :PP

yup with all the money in the world, can hire and duplicate organisations like World Vision to fulfil this goal. and with all the time in the world (never grow old?) we can definitely accomplish the elimination of poverty. we can remove corrupt governments (cos we have infinite amount of money - build up armies?) which is the main source of persistent poverty in the world.

it would be nice to have everything others could only dream of...if i got it all, what would i do?? hmmm...(I'm day dreaming right now *wink*) i gez i would buy a mansion with a spectacular view, i would buy all those flashy cars and stare at them till it melts, i would dine to the most luxurious restuarant till im full, i would wear all those signatured clothes, jewelry, perfumes that money can buy....hhaaayyy...what a life... But then again, would i be really happy when i know for the fact that most of the world is dying because of hunger?? I'm not a saint, but im human... i gez all of which will be nothing once you have kept it urself. If a mother of two gave you three breads, would you eat them all or share them to others? Money isnt everythng, and this is a fact! perhaps, what i've been trying to say is that...if i had the time and money in the world...i would share it to those i know who needs it more than i do...but of cors, i still keep a little extra in my pocket :)(like i said..im not a saint..im human)

Hello Lordwarwizard, I do love this type of question. It's so important to keep our dreams and wishes alive. I would dedicate a bit of time to issues around the house. And, we would have to decide whether to stay in our home, or seek out more land. Hubby & I would both like to own a really large ranch. Once those issues were settled, actually probably before any conclusions are reached) I would put out some feelers for the best and the brightest of recent graduates, to develop an R&D center. I am compelled to look forward from a technological stand point, so that is how I would dedicate a large chunk of those limitless resources -- developing and marketing new technology! Plus, I'd be able to employ many, thereby spreading the wealth.

More happy with a quiet life. If I had all the time and money in the world I'd buy a small island and re-mould it. I'd build two villages and three cities (when I said small I meant enough but not able to be much more than the above) After that I would ask friends to come and move into a free house and start my own nation :) ~Joey

I have always been a very simple bunny with simple dreams and wishes.Yet, despite my preference for life's simplicity, there is the hidden desire to have all the time and money in the world. I will still go for my dream of buying a small cottage away from the city. Build my own garden and raise 10 bunnies to accompany me. I will also sneak in to some of the most exciting places in the world. Holler some friends to cruise around the sea. Best of all, I would be able to give more money to my favorite charity.

If I had all the money and time in the world, my S/O and I would be living together in a fairly large house in the middle of nowhere with lots of property. I'd probably be spending a lot less time on the computer and would do a lot of reading and practice yoga and meditation. I would also be eating healthier using all organic food when possible. I'd probably also have a lot more pets than I do now. I currently have have 5 parrots, I think I'd like to get a few more. I'd also get some ducks and penguins. Maybe I'd even get a dolphin as well. I would also build up my crystal collection and buy all of the books my heart desires. ~Kythe42 http://lemurianphoenix.blogspot.com

I would make the world a better place for everyone! Clean cities up, shower funds on education and awareness+conservation campaigns, convince all farmers to turn to organic and environmentally-friendly techniques, refertilize and replant barren land, etc! Wow I sound like green freak but yeah that's what I'd do. And then go shopping at all the major cities in the world XD
