What's everyone reading these days?

I just started Richard Bachman's Blaze. So far it looks promising. I am a big Stephen King fan, but haven't enjoyed his later books as much as the old ones. He wrote this one under the pseudonym Richard Bachman back in the 70s, so I have hope! I belong to several book clubs and spend a small fortune at the bookstores too. I just can't help it! Books are like friends. Never get sick of them and they don't go bad.

I am currently reading "2nd Chance" by James Patterson. I just started reading it and so far it has been good. This is only the second book by James Patterson that I have read. So I really can't say too much as far as what kind of writer he is. I have never heard of Richard Bachman. What kind of books does he write. I am more into murder mysteries, suspense, and some thrillers. But I am not a big Stephen King fan. His books are a bit too much for my taste.

Hi! My favorite of Richard Bachman's is The Running Man. I've only seen the movie version. Stephen King is just generally too scary for me. :-) I'm trying to read a few things right now - Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella and Jim Cramer's Watch TV and Get Rich. Maybe I'll get to finish them some day! :-)
