I have discovered a lot of great bands through MySpace Music; having the ability to post your songs and let people listen to them (and have them on their pages) is a great way to get some free publicity. You can also do a blog at MySpace to let people know more about what's going on, concerts and events.
Good Luck!
What's the link to your groups page? I'd love to check it out.

For promotion purposes, sure. It's a way for you to have your music heard by one of the biggest social networks in the world. I know there are a few artists who have blown up thanks to their fan base on Myspace, and I also keep track of bands that I like and other local products that are getting their stuff out internationally. You should definitely try to promote yourselves on myspace. Maybe use it as a site to link to your band's merchandise/CD website. You never know, it's all worth a shot.

My son is into music and promotion and he has a couple of websites, including myspace. His music is available on IPOD and ringtones. You should check out his sites to see how he handles promotion and marketing. http://www.myspace.com/79th street

You also might want to look into Taxi.com. They charge a fee for their services but I've heard that it is more than worth it. Good luck to you and I'll be checking out your musica.

I think it could be. Just have partial clips from your songs on your page, that way they cna't be pirated from there.
