linkin park has really disappointed me. i have been a HUGE fan since hybrid theory came out when i was 12, and i bought all their magazine interviews, had all their cds downloaded on my computer (ahh i miss those napster days lol).. i was like a teenager obsessed with a boy band with linkin park. i still have their rolling stone magazine from 2002 that called them the "rap metal rulers". recently, i read an article they had where they said they "hated nu-metal", they "never liked being called a nu-metal band", that they never considered themselves "rap-metal".. umm well, when you rap in mostly all of the songs and have metal music and a metal singer too, you are going to be considered nu-metal.
honestly, i think they only said this because nu-metal isnt popular anymore, and that stupid emo-sad i-want-to-kill-myself-because-the-world-hates-me music is in style. anyone else agree?

I agree 100%. I think they are sort of rap-metal, but I think nu-metal is a much better term for them. Where did you hear this from? Wow, Hybrid Theory came out when I was little...
