don't worry you don't have to prove yourself to me, there will be no tests and i'm not in the job of telling anyone what they should believe because i have no idea. I was just wondering what it was that made people choose a particular religion? was it just the religion you were born into? or was there an event in your life that turned you to your religion? Also if you are not religious why not? what has turned you away from religion?

I am a Hindu. I was born into a Hindu family. My parents were more spiritual than religious and through them I also came into contact with my Guru(spiritual preceptor) when I was a child. I used to spend my vacations in my Guru's ashram. It is now more like a home to me than anything.... even my parents' place only comes second. I had a lot of questions in my earlier days which were satisfactorily answered for me by both my parents and the monks at the ashram. More than anything, I saw my Guru LIVE what He preached and I see Him as an embodiment of God. It is this proof that I saw that actually made me spiritually inclined and I feel very blessed to have known a realized saint.

I am Wiccan/Pagan. I chose this religin because it gives me the freedom to be myself and make my own choices and make my own mistakes. I dont like having a book tell me how to live my life and raise my kids. Wicca/Pagan gives me freedom to do things my way as long as NO ONE gets hurt I can do what I want to.

I go to a Fundelmentl Independent Baptist Church. My husband and I were not born into it. We made that choice on our own. We also enjoy other kinds of churches. We go by how the pastor and the people act. We made this choice bc they stand so strongly on the Bible.
Sorry about my spelling I really wish they had spell check here. LOL
