What is a perfect house for sims, the one that is effecient for them. I noticed 2 story don't work cause they get lazy or forget to do things when they walk around the house. I have a family of 4 soon to be 5, husband/wife/toddler and child and wife is pregnant. Any tips?

I know the perfect solution for this! At least it's perfect for me lol. Every Sunday, I get the Sunday paper. In the paper, there is a section called New Homes. I use the blueprints in that to make my Sim houses. In this paper, there is New Homes and a section called Real Estate, which might also have blueprints every once in a while. I don't worry about the numbers or anything like that on the blueprints, I just look at the picture and compare it to the game house. Of course, I usually cut out the best ones to save for later.

thanks for the idea. I always have a hard time getting a new house idea to create for my sims to live in. I am tired of building boring looking design houses.

For a small family (like 2 adults and 2 kids) the best house I have found is a living room that is about 4x5, a kitchen/dining area that is slightly larger. Then 2 bedrooms that are 4x4 or 4x5 and a bathroom between the 2. I keep everything simple. The kitchen is only a fridge, stove and 2 counters with a dishwasher and trash compactor between them. I don't usually put dressers in my sims homes either because I rarely have them change clothes.

I usually stick with one story houses unless I end up with a big family. Then I just put the bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. I also tend to keep the parents downstairs especially if the woman is pregnant. The pregnant ones tire out easily so I like to keep everything she needs all in one place. If you make a second story with your family, I would only put the child up there for now, and then the toddler when it grows up to be a child. I say that because the toddler still needs to be taken in and out of the crib. It just makes it easier on the parents. Good luck. It sounds like you got your hands full.
