howdy lilaclady, speaking with all due respect, do you not think elaborate front yard'd attract too much attention and might attract deliberate sabotages etc. i do recommand back yard due to the fact the fence or the precaution of the house may keep this elaborate decorations away from vandalism.

Yes I get your meaning but I would go too far with it I think in my area rose bushes and such are more likely to be pinched but I really would just like to get rid of the lawn and as I say the water situation is just not good these days for a normal flower garden....
