It will soon be my second daughter's birthday. She will turn 14 in about 4weeks now. She has been a wonderful girl and source of joy to my family. I am just thinking of the best way to make her 14th birthday memorable for her.

Are there any places where you live that provide make-over parties? In our town, young girls can get together at a salon and get their hair done, nails done, etc. That might be fun for her at her age. A great gift for that age would be a cellphone, maybe one with messaging. They start talking to their friends a lot around that age. Most importantly, try to include the Lord in that special day. Uplift him for your precious gift of her. We need to always be careful that we don't place the honor in the wrong place. I hope this was helpful. Agape.

well maybe if she doesn't have a cell phone or iPod. sometimes those r good gifts that most kids that age don't have. especially with a cell it'll show u trust her, unless she has one already. Or maybe go on a family vacation if you could afford it.

My daughter turned 14 in April. She wanted to take her final trip through childhood so we had a party for her at Chuck E. Cheese's. She was the oldest kid there having a birthday party but we all had lots of fun, especially playing all the games. She and her friends really had a blast and we have some great photos from the "sketch" photo booth for memories.
My kids are always telling me what they want for their birthdays nowadays and we usually get them what they want, within reason. The cell phone just isn't going to happen. We might as well get them something we know they want, like and will use. This year my daughter asked for a season's pass to Canada's Wonderland as all her friends have one. So that is what we got her. She has already been once this year with a group of friends. I guess each parent will take turns being the chaperone.
I would ask her what she wants. Get more than one idea from her. Believe me, my daughter was stunned when she saw I got her the season's pass. She didn't think I would do it.

Well, a necklace made of sterling silver I think is very cool with a pendant of her initial.
