The Ice Cream Truck

How many times does the Ice Cream truck make its rounds near your house? Once a day here. Its scary to me how magnetized kids are to the music. Why is it scary? Well, there are so many creepy people in this world that you never know who is driving it.
We usually buy from the truck once a summer, maybe twice. Its a very special treat for us to do this. Last year we had a really cool woman driving it and was always very nice. This year we have a very creepy man. I took my daughter out to the truck and when I saw the man I had the creepiest feeling. We got the ice cream and headed back to the house at lightening speed. I felt eyes on me and noticed that the truck hadn't moved yet, I could hear the music was not moving. I was half way through the yard when I looked back and he was staring at us. He slowly started driving away as we reached the house.
Very very scary and creepy. I will NEVER EVER buy from the ice cream truck again. No matter who is driving. It was a good time to have the "strangers" talk with my 5 yr old.
Watch out, because you never know who is staring at you and you never know what they are thinking.

I live in a very small rural town so we don't get such things as ice cream trucks. If our children want an ice cream treat the have to take a walk with their mother down to the park which is about a mile away. She will allow them to play for a while. On the way back they will stop off at the gas station so that the children can pick out a treat.
I can't say that I blame you for being worried about the ice cream man. It does sound scary. Maybe you should warn your neighbors about the driver as well.

That was a scary experience for her I bet. In the city I live in the have a law banning ice cream trucks. This was passed due to a few kids getting hit by the trucks and or passing cars. Even with the arms sticking out cars would just drive by these stopped trucks that people know kids are around. So I don't have an ice cream truck in my neighborhood.
