For me,walking's the simplest and cheapest of all exercises, and making it a regular activity and focusing on the intensity or distance covered can greatly increase my fitness.
Walking improves the condition of the heart and lungs (cardiovascular fitness) and works the muscles of the lower body. It's a weight-bearing activity, so it may improve bone density, yet it's also low impact, putting less stress on the joints than some other forms of exercise.
Aside from the health benefits of walking, some of the country's most beautiful scenery can only be accessed on foot, so if you don't try walking, think what you're denying yourself.
Walking up hills expends more energy - even walking down again uses more energy than walking on the flat, but if you don't think you're ready for the hills yet, boost your fitness by walking just about anywhere.

Strength training will not help you lose weight. You need aerobics exercise. To lose weight, the "easiest" way is to run.
So go run lol.:P

to be honest with you,I think no exercise can help us lose weight quickly.every morning I go out to run,and this exercise has last for a month, but my weight does not lose.so I think the most important thing is keep on taking exercise.

I don't participate in both cardio and strength training. For me ,yoga and deep breathing are the best exercise .Yoga is mainly focusing on strecthing and relaxing your muscle and improve your blood circulation system. Healthy blood circulation helps in better digestion and toxic elimination in our body.
That's not all it works for loosing weight as well.Healthy way of loosing weight is included on how manage your diet and how often you exercise. If you do it right you will loose weight quicker in a healthy way.
In contrast,if you just focus on how fast you can lost a huge amount of weight but ignore your nutrient balance you health will be at risk.
In short other then exercises please do not neglect your healthy diet. They work perfect together.
Before i practice yoga i'm a little heavy which is 123lbs (5 feet 3.5inches).After i started yoga and deep breath i lost eleven lbs within a month! It's so amazing! That's not all i feel more energetic and happier now...

Cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility training are all importan t. It's a myth that cardio is b est for weight loss. Intense strength training actually can burn more calories, and it plays the vital role of helping you to maintain precious lean muscle tissue.
Exercise though, takes a back seat to nutrition when it comes to weight loss. You can exercise like crazy, but if you aren't eating right your weight loss will be minimal.
