Martin Hyde, the former general manager of Dillons, an Indian restaurant in Manhattan's theatre district, is asking a judge to block airing of the show, saying exaggerations about the restaurant's conditions will destroy its reputation and the good name of the people who worked there. do you heard about this? is this true?

I've seen a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, and I have to say that some of the conditions that he encountered WERE appalling.

Thank you for best response. Personally, I don't think that Gordon is appalling at all. I think that he's dedicated to his career. He's a very passionate chef. Besides, the way he carries himself on Kitchen Nightmares isn't the same as how he carries himself on Hell's Kitchen. In Hell's Kitchen he's weeding out the wimps to find someone who is not only skilled enough to run a restaurant, but emotionally solid enough to handle the stress. On Kitchen Nightmares, he's helping people to make their restaurants a better place. The only time he really acts like a b@stard (from what I've seen) is when the staff acts like his help isn't needed. But if the food sucks and the kitchen is filthy... they need help.

I watched two series of Hell's Kitchen. I don't enjoy it very much, as the big chef always yells and rude to the customers.

I've not heard about this, but wouldn't be surprised if it were true. I read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. And it seems that real kitchens all round the world, including the five star ones are really filthy and gross. But so long as I don't get sick from the food they serve, really it couldn't bother me. ignorance is bliss sometimes.

kitchens on hotel and resto are filthy and gross but not all. it is not easy to maintain a clean kitchen specially if there are tons of orders. so i always keep the receipt of the places where we ate out so if something happens to us i can back check where we ate and i have proof that we ate there.
