Just saw it because everyone I know says it's a masterpiece, and I will be honest-I enjoyed it. I thought it was overly gruesome at times, but all in all its a really interesting movie.

My boyfriend turned me on to this movie but the first time he watched it he only got to watch the last half and I was doing my homework so I didn't really pay attention. It was the second time he caught in the beginning that I watched it and I could not believe how great it was. I have not watched a movie with that much substance for a LONG time certainly not anything in the movies last couple years, ok, the Last king of scotland was good. I wanted to just grab that little girl out of the screen and save her I was torn to peices the way her father treated her. I guess the movie was about how see psychologically dealt with the pain of war and her father. The lady that ended up stabbing her father was awesome and I didnt even know what was coming. The ending was sad but mystical and very special.

I thought it was very well made. I agree that the gore was quite graphic...but the way it captured the beauty and creatures made up for it. The gore seemed to be needed to show the pure evil that man was made of. I loved the scenery and the subtitles, even though I understood the Spanish.

Despite the violence, Pan's Labyrinth was a good movie. I just saw it a couple days ago, but did enjoy watching this movie. Even my husband liked it and he's not really into those sort of movies.

I really didn't like it all that much, i really think its over-rated. Its a good movie just not a great movie, like you i enjoyed myself watching it. I really liked no-face (the man with the eyes on his hands) it was the coolest part, but the rest of the movie was filled with obvious metaphor to make jerks think their smart. i think i just dont like it cause of all the jerks trying to "explain" the movie to me. nvmd its a good movie
