My desktop mouse is Logitech's MxLaser Mouse which I suppose is optical. I have a laptop with the touchpad, if I need extra control over the cursor I just plug in a optical usb mouse.

I don't have a laptop computer, but when I have used a friend's laptop, I have found that it is very hard to move the pointer with a touch pad, I don't know if it is because I always have use a mouse for move the pointer in my computer, however I have seen a lot of people who have a laptop use a mouse, there is some little mouse for laptops and you can carry them easy, I would prefer use a mouse that use the touch pad on a laptop computer, I am thinking in buy a laptop so when I buy it, I will use a external mouse instead the touch pad, I also have found that use a laptop's keyboard is very comfy so I will be glad use a laptop's keyboard.

ofcourse I use optical mouse. Its smooth, not irritating and overall cooler than that roller one. I would like to go for wireless optical mouse if it gets of some less weight. currently , I like optical mouse.

I am comf'table of using my optimal mouse at home with my desktop pc. Unlike the scroll mouse (with balls), it seems like its easy to use that you could point sharp and you couldn't be more pathetic of yourself..lol
