Saying you're looking for a home business is as generic as stopping by a restuarant and telling them you want dinner. The waiter will understand the request, but from that alone they can't serve you.
You need to narrow down what it is you're looking for. Do you want to escape the "traditional" job? Want more time with your family? Looking for a few extra dollars a month? Aiming to become a millionaire? Want to do something related to an interest/hobby?
I've tried out and seen a lot of stuff on the internet, a lot of scams but also a handful of gems. Once you know your purposes of making money online, it gets easier to find what matches your needs. Much like telling the waiter you like seafood will help him pick out the lobster special instead of a hamburger.

I know where you are coming from there, a lot of people seem to be asking for money for lists ect, which is not fair, I mean if you went for an interview to work in an office they woudl not ask you to pay them to be offered a position, so why shoudl we have to on the internet, I think there shoudl be some kind of test to see you wpm rate and other typing skills then a trial period rather than having to pay a fee, I personally avoid these companies like the plague, If you want a stay at hme job, try childminding or ask at local factories and businesses.

I've also been looking for work at home. Currently, I've found two sites
Site 1: More than 30 programs to earn money - all free.
http://www.marketingpond.com/p.cgi/10504/
Site 2: 7 days free trial and then $10 per month to get a website and opportunity to earn thousands of dollars.

same here. but most that i find in the net you have to pay outfront. i tried looking for a work at home at the craigslist.org. i was able to get 2 jobs but both are really for americans. and i'm still waiting for an outcome of my 2 applications.
i really would like to try some that has payment. but i don't have the money.
