...But I've decided to leave.
This place is not for me.
It takes up too much time to earn too little. The task is a tad too exhausting. At first, I thought maybe I can make the money factor as secondary. I tried to rationalize that this is a great community. A lot of people check in here every minute of every day. It's a great place to hang around, to discuss and to exchange ideas.
But reality is not so beautiful. Too many petty "discussion" pop out everyday.
I can stand petty chit chats. but not as much as this. Most members just publish posts after posts of nothing. Any attempt to engage serious discussion would be buried instantly by new petty topics.
People are willing to earn a cent a post by posting 100 topics a day rather than putting substance in their post and create quality discussion arena.
I am sad and I am leaving.
I have found a few spots in this vast cyberspace that actually allow you to write quality contents and earn decent money. Nope, a cent a post is not decent money. So, if you are serious about writing and wants to earn online, stay tuned to my final post (which I will publish tomorrow).
Having said all this, I would like to thank the myLOT team for this wonderful oppurtunity. You guys came up with and built a magnificent community. Sadly, the community is destroying it with senseless one liners and mindless petty chit-chats.
And, I would also like to acknowledge that through myLOT, I've met (virtually) and had the honor of exchanging ideas and opinions with a few intelligent/smart people like Kamran12 and DravenWriter. If there is any good that I get from myLOT, it would be the chance to get to know you guys. For that, I would have to thank you:)
I made 253 posts and earned $12.35cents (By contrast, I made about $86.50 writing 10 posts in one scheme). I got paid just now and am happy for it. Thank you myLOT!!I'll make my final post sometimes tomorrow and be done with myLOT.
Thank You All!

I agree with you to a reasonable extent; myLot pays insultingly low, at least for people like you and me. You are even better off - over $12 from fewer than 300 posts. I have put in nearly 400 good posts, but with only $10 to my credit. And when it was time to reap my 'lean harvest', the e-gold problem made it impossible for me, as I cannot get paid through PayPal nor Moneybookers. However, I have decided to stay on with myLot because of other non-monetary benefits. You may wish to consider them too. Finally, please, let me know that or those other avenues for making better money from writing activities. My email address is gbolly54@yahoo.com. My website is http://www.gembiz.ws. Thank you for sharing info and knowledge.

Thanks, Tommy, for the useful tips. I will explore them, and feed you back.
Shane, thanks, too, but my own small money is even trapped. So, I have little to be congratulated on. However, I hope the money will be 'freed' after the e-gold's problem is resolved.

It is really sad mylot is loosing a member of your caliber. Of course you have your own reasons. It is wonderful that you made better money for writing 10 posts. Even my lot paid you tbe best they could give. This is first time i am answering your post and your posting moved me.

Hello, tommy408!
I saw your post just today. In fact I have been coming to your profile every after a while to check if you have started a new discussion or responded to my response/comment to your earlier discussion. So today, I found this and that too a good bye post!
It's sad that mylot didn't work for you, It's also sad that people like you, who like to go deep, have to leave it for the reasons, I can understand. I wanted to let you know that, though we usually disagreed, but I really liked our discussions for what they were meant, understanding the concepts from different perspectives. It's an honor for me that you too found them interesting and valuable.
Most of the people, I liked having discussions with, when I joined, have left or are at least not active. You probably are the last one. I must tell you that, I figured it out pretty soon that I can't make money here. My only reason for staying here, after two weeks of joining, was people like you who will satisfy my intellectual thirst. So, it's sad to lose you when others have already left.
Now, either people agree with me or don't get into a real discussion, even the people who otherwise argue vigorously with other people either don't respond to my response or just agree and pass on, so there is not much of a charm in this respect now. But I do have some friends who are a reason of my staying here.
I don't know if you will ever read this comment, but If you do, let it be known that I valued your contributions to this community and I thank you for disagreeing with me intellectually so that I could think and grow. Probably, I'll not be able to discuss anything with you on here but perhaps some other place, some other time.
I wish you best of luck:-)
