Nick's Bad Day on June 6, 2007

We took Nick to daycare on June 6 and dad got a phone call from daycare right after lunch. Nick had been taken out of his highchair and put on the floor after his lunch. he went running off to play. he tripped over his feet and fell, but as he went down he caught the right side of his forehead right above the eye on a table. He got quite a gash from it. The daycare got the bleeding stopped and as they were looking at it they realized that it was pretty bad. They called dad and asked him to come and see if he wanted to take him to the doctor. Dad went and decided to take him to the doctor. He was fine until they made him lay down so they could put the glue on the sore. Then he started fighting and they had to hold him down to get the glue on and dry. Then he went back to daycare until I went to get him at 4pm. Nick is 22 months old and almost 35 inches tall. He is very tall for his legs so he is having trouble with his coordination. He trips over his feet and legs quite often but usually just falls on the floor. This was a very bad day for him. We went for a walk after we got home and stopped at grandma and grandpa's house for a visit. While we were there he was walking to grandma he tripped yet again and fell against the endtable. He cut his left ear right up in that cuff part so that we couldn't see it till it started bleeding. This cut was not very serious. We got the bleeding stopped and dad looked at it. He said that it was just a little cut and would be fine. This child will just be accident prone I think due to his height and very long legs.
