What is your outlook on life?

Everyone has an outlook on life. Life can have a postitive outlook or a negative one. It can have a religious outlook or not. My outlook on life is that as time goes on it is getting better and better for me. I love my life now. I love my job and my family life. I have found a carreer that I enjoy and think I will be able to stay with for quite a long time. I am a Christian so i see the world from a perspective that when I die I will go to heaven. This helps me feel very happy and wonderful. One of the things I would change if I could is the shift I work. On the overnight shift I don't spend much time with family anymore since I am either asleep or at work except for about 5 hours a day. I would also change the fact that they can call me in to work anytime they need me to. They have it so that I am working 95 hours every 2 weeks right now. It makes for nice checks but no family time.
What is everyone else's outlook on life? Are you happy? What would you change if anything?

My outlook on life is I am learning a lot from my struggles. My life so far hasn't been the best, from childhood abuse to health problems, so it seems like it would be hard for me to be positive. However, I have noticed ways in which I have helped people and done good things that I might not have been capable of or in the right place for were it not for the life I have had. So for me, it all pays off, between my own spiritual progression and the things I have been able to do for others out of my own suffering.
Right now I'm having a particularly hard time with my health, because of Meniere's disease as well as a chronic lung condtion, but I'm meeting a lot of new people online with the same problems I have, and it keeps things in perspective for me. I'm learning to enjoy parts of my life I thought of as simple because they are wondrous things I can do!
Since I am a Celtic Reconstructionist Pagan, I see earth as only one of many chances I have to learn and grow as a person. In the Otherworld rather than being complete and finished with my journey, I will start new journeys and learn new things. I look forward to that time, while not forgetting to enjoy my time here as well. I feel that my Gods are always with me, encouraging me and offering strength, and that whenever I am done with this life I will have more time to spend with them.

Your comment touched me. I am young, but investigating religion. I can't believe that this is all for nothing. I live everyday as if it were my only, and try to keep myself and my loved ones as comfortable and happy as possible. I hope to understand the natural meaning of this life, if it be a journey to another world, or a test of faith? Your positivity, and confidance are very reassuring.

Thank you so much, 02FreeSpirit22! I really appreciate you posting to let me know that! I try my best to be a good example, and to live my life in ways I can will always be proud of. It's always wonderful to know that someone gets something out of something that I say or write.
I wish you very well on your journey! There are many wonderful paths you can take in this world, and I hope you find the one that is best for you!

Thank you for this response. I think you are a very strong person. You have made me really think about how one person's life can seem to be very bad but from their point of view it is not as bad as everyone else thinks. I also think that you are a very interesting person and I like your religious beliefs.

I am like you, I love where I am now and I really wouldn't change a thing. I have a husband I adore, I have two really rotten stinkers, whom I wouldn't trade a thing for and I feel good about myself. The only thing I would change, is that I am fluffy and I wish I could just lose this weight for good.

I know what you mean about the weight. I had Nick almost 2 years ago and am still carrying around an extra 20 pounds from having him. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything but it still sucks to still have the weight.
