Hey guys, I am considering buying a car for myself these days since crowding on the bus is too intolerable.
However, when I think about parking problem, oil price and the danger of drive (hitting people or be hit),
I cannot make my decision. Maybe taking a taxi is more convenient in Beijing? I know many friends taking
taxi whenever they go out rather than buying a car, they say it's too difficult to drive a car in today's busy
road and park it in suitable places (if there is a place to park). They prefer sitting in a car driven by another
person so that they do not need to worry about anything during the driving process and after they arrive at
the destination. If the price of taking a taxi is the same as buying a car, why bother to trouble oneself?
What do you think? Any suggestions?

I still prefer you to buy car.. because if you have a car u have already two option to choose from... like if you feel like you dont want to drive u can take bus or train or etc... but sometime if you think that theirs a situation that the bus is too crowded maybe.. then that's time for you u drive yourself..and the beauty of having car you can go whereever you want.. there's no limit of time... =) hope this can help in your decision... =)

I am in the taxi industry and we have several clients who don't like to drive and find it more convenient and cheaper to take taxis. It is a cheaper alternative around here if you don't go far and don't go out a lot. With the price of a car, insurance, repairs, gas, parking etc. if you don't like to drive then it is a good choice. I like to drive though, it is a joy and it is a big part of my life. I would miss driving and I like to go on road trips when the mood strikes me. So I'd say if you don't like to drive take a taxi and if you like to drive buy a car.
