The value of Bush (not TJAT kind): What he really brings to the table.

I'm surrounded by democrats in my family, at work, at school, and so on. I was just wondering why anyone would/did vote for Bush for president? I, personally, see him as bull-headed, self-centered, horrifically inarticulate, and detached from the issues of his own post. I almost get the impression that he only wants to be president because his father was. I never saw him as really caring about what was going on in the world as long as he was alright, but when someone brought a dire problem to his attention, they would write him up a speech and he would just read or try to give people a general idea about how he 'felt' and what he was going to do about the issue. So, I'm really directing this question at people that voted for him, but would still appreciate any insight those that didn't vote for him could give me. It seems like everything he touches turns to lead, so why would anyone want him leading the country? Thanks for your contributions.
