How would you make friends?

Hi All,
I just want to ask this pretty question from you that how would you decide that this person should be my friends in general life. As I am very coutiuos to make friends and i beleive that friends can be your best enemies too becouse they know each and everything about yourself , so i am a little bit choosy to make friends . I beleive to make good friends no matter if i make a friends in year. I first tested them as , S/he should be polite, honest, good, healthy and good sense of homour, no matter S/he is rich, goodlooking or samrt. What about you.

Well im a shy person and I have a hard time starting the conversations to my co workers where I work but most of the time someone else starts the conversation and that makes it a lot easier on me to talk to them. Sometimes I would start the conversation by asking so what time are you here to and that usually helps getting a good convo going.
