Help, Am I in trouble?

I am not actually into the online ordering thing, I would rather go shopping at the mall and snob the internet. But today, I did something that I'm scared of. I was about to buy this cute fashionable scotch tape in this site but because my paypal wasn't verified, I have to add a card such as visa/credit which is in need of numbers like the 3 digit numbers at the back of the card, and the number of the card plus the expiration date. You see, I am not used to this kind of thing and afraid of the identity theft and all that. Do you think, I will be in trouble soon? So, what I did is, put all the details on the blank and hit the submit button. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I don't know why. But there was an error, something or maybe I missed a blank with the famous * required thingy. Anyway, I just want to be sure if I will be in trouble by putting my card details on that thing? Watcha think? Or maybe I'm just too worried about it because that was my first time doing it, ya think?

First one must always be wary of Identity fraud, but caution and good sense goes along way in protecting yourself. I use my visa on line a lot. Most online merchants provide secure ordering and I feel comfortable in using it. If you messed up the application I am sure that is just, went back to blank. Always close out your web browser after a transaction, and log out of the site. Use Sites that you trust. Keep your computer clean of mal ware and spy ware. You should be fine, I enjoy shopping on line, I just take all the precautions I can.

If it went back to blank, that is a relief. Thanks a bunch for the comfort. I feel better. Hugs.

By the way, about the malware and spyware, what's the connection? I mean, how they can harm my bank details and stuff like that? Thank you.

I tried those free programs that you've said. Yeah, I loved it. They really help. But eventhough they can delete those malicious stuff such as viruses, there still, I don't know exactly what's the malicious file thing was attached to my system but it is still there. I even did reformat my computer but it didn't work. Anyway, so like for example they had my files and details already from me, what possible harm can they do to me? I mean, if they got my password like in friendster, are they going to locked down it so that I won't not be able use it again. Thank you so much Angelwhispers ^^.

It will not get through if you dont have a confirmation with that. To deal with the credit card payments be sure you read all the details before confirming anything. If at times you have some mistakes, the best thing you can do is call the customer service right away. The less time you will react to that the better. Loosing a dime is too painful..hope everything is okay.

I wouldn't worry about it!! I have been buying stuff on the internet for years and I have never had a problem. Just check your accounts regularly in case something does go through that you didn't buy. PayPal is really great though, I have never had a problem with them!!

Good for you. It was my first time and really scared of the consequence. Thank you so much. Take care.
