Why does my cat run away?

I agree. Our female cats does the same thing. She just is looking for someone to play with, sometimes just to chase her around.

It's possible that he wants you to play. Does he kind run with a little bounce to his step, or does he kind crouch and sulk away? If it's the latter, then it may be the way you are approaching him. Cats can be sensitive about how they are approached. If you are loud and quick, then it might scare him.
But, if he just bounces away and makes a little chirp, then he's probably trying to either get you to chase him, or he just wants to go where you're going.

Question- Is it like a hissing sound or is he crying? Mabey he wants you to follow him is he out of food or water or mabey litterbox time!? I know my cat salem does that to me all of the time!! I think it is just a normal thing mebey he is in a bad mood or somthing?

Cats are playfull by nature. Chances are your cat wants to play. If you cat is afraid of you it will most likely hiss, crouch down and put its ears back. Cats are very loyal, they always come back to you.
