Hard to Please Pukin' Kid!

I got this problem every time my nephew use to take his medicine. he's 2 yrs old and necessary to take all the medicine that the doctor prescribed to him. He always puked the medicine esp. the anti-biotic. Can anyone help me here?

Hi. Does he intentionally gag himself to puke out the medicine? Or does it happen because of the taste or he has trouble swallowing it? If he has trouble with the taste, try to use a dropper to give him the medicine and position the dropper near his cheeks towards the throat so that he'll swallow it. You can also try mixing his medicine with his favorite food or with juice / milk although you will have to make sure he finishes the food / drink so that he gets the right dosage of medicine. Or you can ask your doctor or pharmacist for another brand that works better with kids. I hope these help. Welcome to mylot!

thanks for the advice! but i think he really intentionally puke out the medicine maybe because he's taking medicine for the entire 1 year of his life but the medicine dropper i'll try work on it!

Oh poor kid. Hope he gets better. My friend's child also intentionally makes herself puke. They haven't found how to stop it yet. I also hope the dropper works for him. Good luck.
