Does the wii really live up to it's expectation? I have owned a wii for a couple of month's now and have only got as far as creating my Mii, I would like to hear what other wii owners or players have to say regarding their experiences with the gameplay and stuff. I am actually considering selling it. I have heard zelda is really the only really good game for it right now. Any recomendations?

Just got it and it is still in box. I did play with some young cousins a few weeks ago. It was interesting...still did not open mine though. I will be following this discussion to see what other think. I know it is hard to find in stores, not just now but any time of year.

I enjoyed it, and plan to get one when money is available. The game I wish to buy first is Sims2: Castaway. I do think things are currently in the development period as far as range of games available.
I like the increased activity level available, when playing the wii, though I was disappointed that it didn't completely remove the irritation to old repetitive strain injuries that most game systems cause. Having somewhat simpler controls is also good for me since this way I don't get as lost in ten million buttons to push.

I truly believe that the Wii is worth it and that you should not sell it. I actually have almost every game console since the NES...so I certainly am well rounded when it comes to gaming!
The Wii is not a traditional system. If you want something hardcore then you can try the PS3 or Xbox360...you will not find much of what they have on the Wii. What it offers, however, is an entirely unique gameplay.
Not only is it multi-generational (I have played it with my 7 year old sister, 32 year old husband, and 50 year old mother) but what other system can you truly immerse yourself in? You can "bowl", you can swing a bat or a sword, etc etc.
But what if you are feeling nastalgic? You can hop on over to the virtual console and download the original Super Mario Brothers, or some Castlevania.
I hope in the past month you have been able to figure out how truly fun this console is!
