Did you ever fall in love with a breed that you didn't like before?

I used to always say that chihuahuas are oversized rats and just bark all day. Then Scrappy came into my life. She was supposed to only stay with me for a few weeks till my friend could find a new home for her. Reluctantly I took her in, after a week she had me wrapped around her paw...LOL
I must admit I was wrong about chihuahuas. They don't bark any more than my Basset Hound (mainly if the doorbell rings) and they are so loyal and loving. By now I have added Ginger and Muffin. My daughter loves them as well, to me they are perfect little family dogs. Playfull, smart and since they don't need much room my little house is like a castle to them.

I always said," Animals that licks their own butt was not the kind of animal that I would like for a pet." My boyfriend on the other hand owned a Pitbull, who just had her first litter. As soon as I saw them I fell in love. I took the cutest and fatest one, which was brown and white with light green eyes and named her Strawberry. She still licks her butt, but I don't mind much.

The only kind of dogs I use to like were golden retrievers and german shepherds. Then my family adopted a Shiba Inu named Rocky and I fell in love with that breed. I think its the curly tail that did it for me. Shibas are really independant too which made me love them even more since I didn't have to watch them every minute of the day.
