Hongkong for me the first time I went there was just another tourist haven which I didn't appreciate much because the people don't speak English and we don't seem to understand each other very much. But when I come back lately for a series of work assignments, I learned to appreciate and take a good look around what Hongkong really is for me. I can always claim that Hongkong feels like a second home for me simply because my father is a Chinese, who, I don't really know his roots and where they came from. If only he's alive today, then I would surely take him there and move all things possible to locate his origins since I feel so attached to the place. My work assignment gave me the chance to really explore the good and bad side of Hongkong. But still everything for me looks good and I know that I can live there on my own given the chance. Who knows, i will make Hongkong my retirement country. But i still love the Philippines where I grew up and spent most of my youthful days until this time.

Hongkong is a beautifull ,alluring place. As for a Chinese ,it is the symbol of the developed places in China.Chinese are proud of it now .Beautiful, but not lavishly;wealthy, but not luxury;kindly like a son in the embrace of China.Yeah, that's it

i just want to say that every Chinese(no matter nationality is) has a special feeling of returning root like a fallen leaf.maybe the most meaningful thing you can do for your departed father was that returning frequently to Hongkong where your father's root and where he came from !
