Plans for a fun day?

My wife is at work tomorrow and I have our daughter all to myself for the day (7am - 5pm). I need to get a haircut, but that should only take an hour or so, so what should we do for the rest of the day?
My girl is 8 months old so she can't walk or talk yet, but she likes to crawl around and stand up against furniture etc which makes it awkward to 'do' anything since I need to watch her like a hawk!
I ask you, my Mylot comrades, what can we do that will amuse both of us?

I'm hoping to take her to the park, but there's a good chance of rain tomorrow. She recently had her first try on a swing and absolutely loved it - see pic. If we have another night like last night, we'll be visiting Grandma so Daddy can catch 40 winks on the sofa!! lol
I might do some dishes, but that's about it. i need to conserve some energy for Sunday when the lawns need to be cut and the car cleaned!

You could go to a park with a big blanket and spread it out under a tree and have a few new toys. You could have a picnic lunch too and share all her favorite finger foods. You would have a good day, just don't nap when she does okay? Anyway, visiting with relatives is another option and even playing most of the day in the back yard would be a good option as long as you have some good quality time. Have fun and give her a hug from your friends at Mylot.

ypically it was raining most of the day so we didn't get to spend any time outdoors. We went over to IKEA and had a wander around and picked up a few things. We then played in the house for most of the day with (of all things) 6 plastic plates!
Sometimes it's nice to just engage with her and not try to get anything done (although it wasn't so easy to explain that to my wife when she came home to a sink full of dishes and a floor strewn with toys!)

Take her to a park, then toyland and then go out on a boating on a beatiful lae\ke if the weather condition is very favorable....have meet some people and some stange objects...then go back home and play with her all day but you should out also when she needs to nap...and buy her some nice teddy bears that she would love...then if she can eat ice cream then give her ice cream.

I can't wait to take her boating! Unfortunately, I can't take her alone, as she climbs like a monkey so i need another pair of hands to stop her going overboard! lol
I think ice-cream will be on the menu at some point, but if we get any more bears I will need to buy a bigger house!!
Thanks for the suggestions.
