Passion or Priorities?

I'm having difficulties on finding the answer to this. I love playing in a band, but the gigs we are in does'nt pay us money. It is for exposure only.
I have a wife and a daughter, I also work 8 hours in an advertising company.
My passion is playing musical instruments, but this wont feed my family, regarding my situation (not like known artists).
So do I give up my passion and concentrate on my priorities to fullfill my duty as the head of the family?

It is not fair for you to perform and you are not being paid for that. I believe there are lots of opportunities for a band member like you. Have you tried applying abroad? I know that is your passion but if it is not worth a living then you should find other gigs who'll pay you so that all the hardworks you've done will be paid off. Just do it for your wife and daughter. Just my honest opinion. God bless you! d=)

Passion or Priorities? Practicality..needs first before wants. There's nothing wrong if you wish to play with your band it is better if you do this if you have free time (which i hope you do). Its a good thing you have a job because then, you can support your family. It is also good that you play in a band because it is a hobby like this that may inspire you.8 hours of work is already enough but if you see that there are still essential things you cant provide your family, then you have to prioritize.. :)
