Puffy, Lord Greything, is a very bright kitty. We couldn't tell when he was a baby, he was just a fluffy gray eating-and-pooping machine. As a teenager, he began to demonstrate his ability to figure things out. He'll be two in a couple of months, and he's a gorgeous cat with soft, thick, luxurious fur and purple paw pads. He has been fascinated with drawers for a few months now. Anytime he hears one open, he dashes to it and jumps up to peer inside. Sometimes he'll grab my arm with both paws and pull whatever I took out of the drawer to his nose for a deep sniff. That's pretty damn annoying, because it usually means I have to wash the utensil again, but he's so adorable, I let him get away with it. He almost gave me a heart attack this morning. Cat feeding was done, they had scattered to their fav nap places, or so I thought, and I was ready to make my breakfast. Needed the spatula, looked around, didn't see Puffy, open the drawer, still no Puffy, closed the drawer... and a gray missile shot up from directly beneath the drawer, wrapped both paws around my arm and swung there! I was so startled, I dropped the spatula and screamed! He knew exactly what he was doing, too. Puffy startles easily and runs like hell when I yell at the dogs, but when I screamed in fright, he just swung from my arm, with a smug look on his face. Cheeky little b*st*rd! If you're curious, I told the story of how Puffy and his brother came into our lives here: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1130495.aspx

Awww - he sounds adorable. I love cats - all cats - doesn't matter on their age, size, colour, or personality. They are all precious to me - they all have their own little quirks that make them special. Big hugs to Pully!

Little Lord Greysocks, sleeping in a curl - This is the cat in my avatar, the one sitting on the bicycle seat. He's sleeping on the mountain lion throw I put on my bed for them.
Thank you! LOL... I fear I have a bit of evil inside, because sometimes, when I see my cats sleeping so peacefully, I just want to wake them up!

I have a little gray ball of fur myself. His name is Reggie Cat and he's 4 and a half. He's also the love of my life. I love him! Anyhow one of his favorite games is "lets scare the crap out of mommy by hiding somewhere and when she walks by grabbing her leg!" It's the joy of being a kitty...you get to scare other people and never get in trouble because you're just so darn cute!

haha. our cats used to hide under the beds an grabs at our feet when we passed. But my last cat was really smart. I used to keep her inside cause the dogs were outside. But she was able to climb onto the windos pane, and then pull the handle down and open the windows.
