I was just curious about what kind of obseesion everyone else's kids have. I have a 7 year old son with High functioning autism that loves to suck on my elbow (has given my hickeys on my elbows before). I have started giving him chewing gum everytime he starts to do this to help him find a more socially acceptable way to satisfy his need for oral stimulation. So I was just curious about what other things kids are doing out there.

Both of our sons have Asperger's. Our oldest crashes into everything like a freight train. He sucks on his shirts too which drives me crazy. Our youngest likes to bang his head against mine. He also likes to be wrapped up like a mummy in a blanket.

MY son like to suck on blankets. I think it is a comfort thing. If he is upset or mad just give him a blanket and he is just fine. LOL
